What: The Great Yorkshire Show
Where: Harrogate
When: 12th July- 14th July

Experience the traditional Great Yorkshire Show this UK Summer for its 158th year! This family fun show celebrates all things agricultural and of course, Yorkshire. Events taking place in the show include the best in British farming with a range of animals competing including sheep, racehorses and rabbits, various fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and many activities for every one of all ages to enjoy. If you are wanting to dive into the culture and history of Yorkshire then the Great Yorkshire Show is the perfect event to visit.

What: Lytham Festival
Where: Lytham
When: 3rd August – 9th August

Lytham Festival is a weeklong festival hosted in the beautiful seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes in Lancashire. The festival combines live comedy, literature events and live music from artists such as Bryan Adams and The Village People. In the height of the UK summer you can enjoy walking along the sandy beaches, explore the classic Lancashire resorts including visiting the historic windmill and of course enjoy the live entertainment which is played throughout the day and into the night.

What: Edinburgh Festival Fringe
Where: Edinburgh
When: 5th August – 29th August

Also known as The Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival which lasts almost the entirety of August in UK summer 2016.  This is the go-to event in Edinburgh during the summertime. Whether you are interested in theatre, comedy, dance or spoken word and exhibitions, there is definitely something for everybody at this event. Other events which take place at The Fringe include circus, cabaret, musicals and opera. The Fringe attracts some of the best artists from all across the world and is notable for being fantastic for its comedy sketches where you can expect to see the best English comedians perform.

What: Notting Hill Carnival
Where: London
When: 28th August – 29th August

Immerse yourself in the multi-cultural capital during the Notting Hill Carnival this summer. Notting Hill Carnival is Europe’s biggest street festival which draws in thousands of visitors from all over England and the world over the two day event. This carnival celebrates the capital’s Caribbean communities through live music, steel bands, soca floats and Caribbean food specialities including jerk chicken.
